Hello DBC Family,
We have uploaded my message and Andrew's Communion thought for this Sunday’s worship service. My message is titled “I’m the GREATEST!” and it comes from Luke 22:23-30. It’s been exciting to see more and more of the congregation be able to join in worship each Sunday. If you are unable to or would rather just listen, we will have the FM transmitter on 105.3 and you can listen from your car in the parking lot. For the videos, you can find them on our website, RightNow, and Vimeo. Hope you have a good Lord’s Day. When my kids were small, I always got a kick out of how much they trusted me especially when they would launch themselves off of every tall object and KNOW that I would catch them. Sometimes they were caught only by dad-reflexes! But they didn't care because they had faith that I would catch them. It's pretty awesome. And it's this very trust and dependance that God asks of those that believe in Him. God isn't saying we need to be dumb, blind, and foolish. But He is saying that we don’t know everything and that’s ok. He wants us to come to Him with that same assurance that not only will He take care of us, but that He has His arms stretched out to catch us. And He does not fail. I uploaded the message for this Sunday’s worship found in Luke 18:15-17 and is titled “Let the Little Children Come.” I hope that you will be able to attend in-person tomorrow, but if you are unable to attend, the service can be found on Vimeo, RightNow and our website. We will also be broadcasting the entire service on FM 105.3, if you would like to attend but do so from your car. May God keep blessing you so that you can be a blessing to others. Ivan I've been thinking about change a lot lately. It is astonishing to me how life can change in the blink of an eye. Recently, there were 3 huge life changing events that happened to people I love. Without God, I don't know where I would be. Keep the faith.
Ivan Hello DBC Family,
We have uploaded the message and Communion for this Sunday’s worship. The Communion thought is given by Andrew and is a very thought provoking one about being prepared. My message is found in Acts 5:1-11 and is titled “What Lie?” I hope that you will be able to attend in-person tomorrow, but if you are unable to attend, the service can be found on Vimeo, RightNow and our website. We will also be broadcasting the entire service on FM 105.3, if you would like to attend but do so from your car. I would be remiss if I did not let you know that over the past 5 months, just as you have been having financial challenges, the Chapel has as well. We are currently in a deficit of several thousand dollars a month. We do not expect you to give to DBC just because. Money is just another way that God is allowing us to serve Him. When we give, we acknowledge that God is the owner of the money and that we are just His stewards. We elders trust that God will provide what is needed, when it is needed, for as long as He wants the Chapel active. What we do want to encourage is that if you haven’t done so already to begin to cultivate the discipline of tithing, not just in time, but in finances as well. If you do believe that God is leading you to give to DBC, you can give online with card or e-check, or in person in the tithes and offerings box in the Sanctuary. Thanks for worshiping with us and may you live out your faith in Christ in both word and deed! Ivan Announcements:

I hope that this summer has been going well for you. I know from a majority of your Facebook pages that the summer has been very good and “normal.” If that hasn’t been you and you are struggling, please let me or any of the elders know. We truly care and want to help if God allows us to. Can you believe that it has been almost 5 months since we first decided to worship online?! I am astonished by how much has changed in our world, our nation, our city, and even in our Chapel. My message for tomorrow is titled “The Teacher’s Big Mistake" and it comes from Matthew 23:1-7. Jesus spoke directly about the way the Pharisees would say one thing and do another. I think that all of us from time to time have been Pharisee-like in our actions and in a time of quarantine or pandemic, I know that it has become an even greater challenge. I hope that you will be able to attend in-person tomorrow, but if you are unable to attend, the service can be found on Vimeo, RightNow and our website. We will also be broadcasting the entire service on FM 105.3, if you would like to attend but do so from your car. Ivan Announcements:

I realize it is so much more than just saying “I’m a friend.” It requires a lot out of me to be a true friend. If someone asked you if you were a real friend, what would you say?
Just something to think about. Ivan |
