Sunday Worship August 16, 2020

Hello DBC Family,
We have uploaded the message and Communion for this Sunday’s worship. The Communion thought is given by Andrew and is a very thought provoking one about being prepared. My message is found in Acts 5:1-11 and is titled “What Lie?”  I hope that you will be able to attend in-person tomorrow, but if you are unable to attend, the service can be found on Vimeo, RightNow and our website. We will also be broadcasting the entire service on FM 105.3, if you would like to attend but do so from your car.

I would be remiss if I did not let you know that over the past 5 months, just as you have been having financial challenges, the Chapel has as well. We are currently in a deficit of several thousand dollars a month. We do not expect you to give to DBC just because. Money is just another way that God is allowing us to serve Him. When we give, we acknowledge that God is the owner of the money and that we are just His stewards. We elders trust that God will provide what is needed, when it is needed, for as long as He wants the Chapel active. What we do want to encourage is that if you haven’t done so already to begin to cultivate the discipline of tithing, not just in time, but in finances as well. If you do believe that God is leading you to give to DBC, you can give online with card or e-check, or in person in the tithes and offerings box in the Sanctuary.
