Dear AWANA Families,
The AWANA year is almost done and this is NOT ending the way we thought it would. We are completely blown away by how things are so different, and yet God is not surprised at all. He was already preparing these days for us long ago and He is with us as we go through them. How are you using this time? We know that it is probably very difficult. We've been challenged by the phrase, "Bloom where you are quarantined." That seems pretty impossible. And we know that it is, unless you have God's strength to help you through it. Easter is one of the main times that we remember God's power. It was His power that allowed Jesus to rise again. And He promises us the same strength through the Holy Spirit at work inside us. This can only come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A relationship with Him isn't a crutch or something for weak people. On the contrary, it answers some of the deepest questions in life. If this is something you want to talk more about, please let us know, as we truly believe and follow what we live and say. And if you want to know more without talking to anyone at first, Denali Bible Chapel made a "News Show" called "The Resurrection Reports" for Easter and we would encourage you to watch that here. On a different note, Mr. Ivan made a video of our AWANA opening program and he even had 3 Sparks volunteers to hold the signs! Boy their hands are sure tired! Just kidding. You can see his video here. We are praying for you all and want you to know that we care and are willing to help you in whatever ways you need. Your AWANA Commanders Dear Denali family,
We would like to welcome you to our April 12, 2020 Easter Sunday family worship. It is incredibly sad that we are not able to meet as a church body today, but I know that God and His Church is not bound by walls and a building. May this Sunday, as different as it is, still be uplifting to you and glorifying to God. We have put our videos on RightNow like normal, but we have also put the videos on our website, as well as on our Vimeo page, vimeo.com/denalibiblechapel. Please feel free to encourage or invite others to watch. We tried to make Easter special and have been working incredibly hard to bring you “The Resurrection Reports”. We will share it on Facebook (and Facebook Live) and will pray that many, many are reached with His Good News. I also made of video reading the excellent poem titled, "How the Virus stole Easter." I know that this Easter isn't the way that you pictured it would be. But rather than let us allow the virus to steal Easter, instead embrace the change and discover newer and maybe even more whole-hearted worship our Risen Savior! Happy Easter! Ivan Dear Denali family,
We would like to welcome you to our April 5, 2020 Sunday family worship. Today we will be celebrating Palm Sunday and Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. We pray that you will grow in your love of our Savior who walked the path to Jerusalem, even knowing that a few days later He was going to die. It was a Return of the King that the people didn’t even recognize. We will be putting our videos on RightNow like normal, and this will include the links to the songs and the kids lesson. But we will also put the videos on our website, as well as on our Vimeo page, vimeo.com/denalibiblechapel. Please feel free to encourage or invite others to watch. I believe that God can use this medium to reach some that we might never had been able to reach before. I wonder if that’s one of the great things that God wants us to learn as a church through this time. May God be glorified as we worship together because the Body of Christ is not confined by walls! I wanted to share a thought with you about God’s “Just Enough” provisions. What do I mean by that? I mean the things that He gives us each day to help us through physically, mentally and spiritually. Sometimes His “Just Enough” is NOT what we want and it is not what we expect. Therefore we don’t realize or accept it. As we are going through this time of quarantine and separation, I’d encourage you to think about what your “Just Enough” is and how God is providing it. If you want to see an excellent study from Israel on this, it is on RightNow. If you are in need of something physically, please let us know. There have been so many within our congregation that have offered whatever they have to help. Really. If you are needing something mentally to do to occupy your time, the Borough Library still checks out ebooks, Ligonier Ministries is giving away the Crucial Questions book series as well as their classes, and then there is always RightNow. Debbie in the Good News Book and Bible also wants you to know that she can get you anything that is in the store or has to be ordered (just call 456-6223). And if you are spiritually wondering what your “Just Enough” is, please know that we are praying for you constantly and are doing everything that we can to help shepherd during this time of not being able to meet physically. God’s ways of providing for our Spiritual Needs might be different than normal or the way we want Him too, but may we all have eyes to see what He is doing. Perhaps He has you to be part of the “Just Enough” in someone else’s life by calling, emailing, or texting them. As the Body of Christ, we are not bound by a building. God can use us and help us to “bloom where we are quarantined.” Ivan ps. Mr. Chuck would like the kids to know that God is with them and loving them even if He doesn’t seem to be around. He made a message for them. |
